Introduction
Associação Maluk Timor is a non-governmental organization (NGO) committed to capacity building and health system strengthening in Timor-Leste, through the mentoring and professional development of Timorese health personnel.
The Nursing Training / Covid-19 Program's intended impact is to improve Timorse nurses' capability to deliver quality healthcare to their communities, and to support the national response against Covid-19.
Key activities include:
I. Support National Response against COVID 19 (including training of staff)
II. Support COVID 19 vaccination campaign (including training of staff)
III. Improve Triage in CHCs nationwide
IV. Support development of Emergency Care training package for CHCs
V. Support Research

Position Summary
This position is responsible for planning and delivery of training of Corona Virus (COVID-19) for Medical Practitioners (MPs) and other health staff, at nine community health centers (CHCs) in Dili municipality in collaboration with Ministry of Health (MOH) and World Health Organization (WHO) in Timor-Leste.
Key Functions
The key functions of this position include:
- Assist the team in development and preparation of COVID-19 training material for education sessions
- Deliver COVID-19 education sessions to healthcare staff in partnered health facilities
- Provide support and mentoring for Medical Practitioners (MPs) on COVID-19 prevention when needed
- Liaisons with other programs within Maluk Timor where there is an overlap between the programs
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders including MoH, heads of CHC’s, WHO, INS and other NGO’s in developing the COVID-19 training materials.
- Maintain regular communication with the Program manager as well as WHO & MOH in obtaining up to date data of COVID-19
- Assists Program manager in collecting monitoring data related to training programs as per log frame.
- Assist Program manager in writing activities report.
- Assist program manager in the procurement of items needed for COVID-19 training programs and ensure a complete procurement process is followed
Essential:
- Degree in General Medicine (Doctor) from a recognized university
- Kartaun Profesional registration (Doctor)
- Desirable:
- Minimum of one (1) year relevant experience in their field of expertise.
- Willingness to travel

advanced computer skills including Microsoft Windows & Office.
