About the Position
Peace Corps Timor-Leste is seeking a dynamic Executive & Communications Assistant (ECA) to provide executive support to the Country Director while managing communications and public affairs. The role supports organizational communications, stakeholder engagement, and event coordination while promoting the mission of Peace Corps in Timor-Leste.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide executive and administrative support to the Country Director.
- Manage internal and external communications, including social media, reports, newsletters, and website content.
- Coordinate official meetings, travel, and high-level visits.
- Support media relations and public outreach, including press releases and communication materials.
- Assist with events and ceremonies, such as the Peace Corps Swearing-In Ceremony.
- Maintain records management and information systems.
- Support communication between Peace Corps staff, volunteers, and partners.
- Monitor and share relevant media coverage related to Peace Corps activities.
Minimum Requirements
- Associate degree (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- At least 3 years of professional work experience.
- Fluent in English and Tetun (spoken and written).
- Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher).
- Ability to manage social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram.
- Experience working in cross-cultural teams and managing multiple tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in digital communications or social media campaigns.
- Background in administration, office management, or communications.
- Experience working with government institutions, international organizations, or the U.S. government.
Salary
Starting from USD $13,712 per year, plus benefits (depending on experience and qualifications).
