  1. Gender Action Learning Lead

 

The Gender Action Learning Lead role is to lead action learning and reflection process for Oxfam’s women’s economic empowerment (WEE) project, Hakbi’it, including monitoring and evaluation of gender transformative approaches, WEE approaches, organisational development, do-no-harm and influencing. The role will support Oxfam staff and partners to reflect, learn and modify project implementation and models as the project progresses, and capture change and impact. The role will champion participatory, culturally appropriate approaches that are grounded in feminist principles, supporting an adaptive management approach to project management.

This position will report to the Senior Gender Program Manager

Salary + Benefits with possibility to negotiate depending on skills and experience on criteria.

The basic salary  of the position is $ 2,916.67 gross per month (before tax).

 

Skills and Experience require for Gender Action Learning Lead

  • Qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in more than one of the following: Action Learning and Reflection; Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning; Participatory Research and Learning; Gender Equality and Women’s Economic Empowerment Programming; Organisational Development
  • Understanding of gender transformation and participatory research tools and approaches
  • Experience working in and with INGOs and national and local civil society
  • Experience in influencing and advocacy highly desirable.
  • Knowledge and practical experience in the application of gender conceptual frameworks and analysis particularly within MEL processes.
  • Excellent oral communication skills and the ability to deliver high quality written reports in English. Ability to speak Tetum is desirable.
  • Commitment to working in partnership and feminist leadership.
  • A degree in a relevant field, postgraduate qualifications will be highly regarded.
  • Good working experience in Timor-Leste or similar contexts is desirable, particularly within areas related to gender and organisational development.
