System Administrator
Core Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux operating systems, including servers, desktops, and laptops.
- Manage and troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to Windows and Linux systems.
- Provide technical support to Quantech Lda clients, both in person and remotely.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as system backups, software updates, and security patching.
- Monitor system performance and identify potential problems before they impact users.
- Document technical procedures and solutions for future reference.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve complex technical issues.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in the Wintel environment.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum 2 years of experience working as a Wintel Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems, including server and desktop versions.
- Proficient in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Good to Have
- Understanding of cloud infrastructure especially in Azure
- Experience with Azure Identify, Exchange and Teams
