UN Women Timor-Leste is seeking a Programme Assistant to support its Women’s Economic Empowerment (WEE) team. The position will contribute to advancing gender equality and women’s empowerment in alignment with the country’s Strategic Development Plan 2011-2030 and the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (2021-2025). UN Women’s work in Timor-Leste focuses on key areas such as Women’s Economic Empowerment, Ending Violence Against Women and Girls, and promoting Women, Peace, and Security, among other important gender-related goals.
The Programme Assistant will report to the Programme Officer for WEE and provide administrative and programmatic support to ensure smooth project implementation in accordance with UN Women’s rules and regulations. This role involves close collaboration with other programme teams, operations staff, government officials, donors, and civil society partners, ensuring effective delivery of WEE programme objectives.
