1. Summary of Role and Responsibility
The Program Coordinator, Climate Change Adaptation is responsible for supporting the implementation of Climate Change Adaptation project activities and providing support and monitoring of project activities. She/he will be responsible for the management and delivery of the Climate Change Adaptation project under the Climate Justice pillar. The role will involve planning, overall budget monitoring, program implementation and monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) of Oxfam and partners activities related to the climate change adaptation, in line with Oxfam’s partnership approach. The role will be a key contact point for civil society partners, networks, and allies, and will accompany partners with technical support and capacity building. This will be achieved by leading in planning overall budget monitoring, program implementation and MEL, all in line with Oxfam’s partnership approach.
2. Type of Contract
Location: This Position is based in Dili, Timor-Leste
Type of Contract: Fixed term. This position is full-time, National Position, Open for national staff only.
3. Skills and Experience required
- University degree or diploma in agriculture and technical knowledge on climate-smart agricultural practices, water and soil management, organic farming, livelihoods and markets are desirable.
- Understanding and experience of applying MEL approaches and tools.
- Experience networking with and working with civil society partners in Timor-Leste.
- Experience working with civil society an advantage.
- Relevant qualifications or skills in a resilience related discipline highly desirable.
- Ability to write and review high quality project reports and case studies in Tetum and ideally English.
- Fluent Tetum. Good written, reading and spoken English desirable.

It is required that applicants must submit valid Bom comportment from the Ministry of Justice for residence applicants and a police certificate for non-residence applicants If applicants are successful in the recruitment process.
