Applications Open: JDS Scholarship in Japan for Timorese Nationals!
The JDS Timor-Leste Project Office is pleased to announce that applications for the JDS Timor-Leste 2026 Scholarship Program are officially open!

The JDS Scholarship program is designed for permanent public officials who are Timorese nationals to pursue 2-year Master's degree studies in Japan and shape the nation's future leadership.
Application Period: September 21 to November 20, 2026
Key Eligibility Requirements:
• Citizen of Timor-Leste
• Aged between 22 and 45 years as of April 1, 2027
• Full-time permanent public servant in ministries (excluding UNTL and IPB)
• At least 2 years of work experience as a permanent civil servant working in Central Ministries in Dili
• Holds a recognized Bachelor's degree and does not possess a Master's degree
