1. Background
Vera, founded in 2021 under Milrex Rego Unipessoal Lda, is a local beverage brand producing high-quality, natural juices using locally sourced fruits from Timor-Leste. Vera’s mission is to create a sustainable market space for locally grown fruits that would otherwise go to waste, while supporting and enhancing the livelihoods of families who depend on agriculture.
Building on its success, Vera is expanding operations with a new production facility in Baucau, to increase production capacity and ensure high-quality standards across all products. The Production Staff will play a key role in supporting the daily operations of the facility and ensuring smooth, efficient, and safe production of Vera beverages.
2. Objective of the Position
To support all beverage production activities at Vera, ensuring efficiency, safety, and adherence to quality standards in the preparation, processing, and packaging of products.
3. Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and handling of raw materials and ingredients.
- Operate production equipment and machines according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Support beverage processing, mixing, and packaging activities.
- Ensure hygiene, safety, and cleanliness in the production area.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, quality issues, or production challenges to supervisors.
- Support inventory management for raw materials and finished products.
- Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a safe working environment.
4. Reporting Line
Reports to the Production Manager at Vera.
5. Required Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum basic education (completion of secondary school preferred)
- Previous experience in food or beverage production is an advantage but not required
- Basic understanding of hygiene, safety, and quality practices in production
6. Duration of Assignment
Regular full-time position, with the possibility of extension based on performance.
7. Duty Station
Vera Production Facility – Baucau, with possible travel to Dili as required.
