- The role
The Logistics Officer role supports fleet management, logistics and warehouse operations, as well as asset and inventory control in compliance with CARE’s policies and donor requirements.
He/She will be responsible for facilitating documentation and coordination, ensuring efficient and safe fleet operations, managing procurement-related logistics, and overseeing the storage, distribution, and tracking of supplies and equipment. The role also ensures accurate asset and inventory management, promoting accountability, transparency, and optimal resource utilization.
Working closely with program, operations, and finance teams, the position contributes to the timely delivery of humanitarian and development activities while maintaining high standards of compliance, efficiency, and service support in often challenging field environments.

- Selection criteria
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant areas such as Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
- Proven experience in logistics, fleet and procurement function with minimum 3 years of experience, preferably with an International Non-Government Organisation (INGO) or private company.
- Demonstrate a customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality service
- Demonstrate ability to work in a diverse team
- Demonstrate a strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven experience in managing and administering cash advance
- Good skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and familiarity with logistics and procurement, SUN and other donors’ systems as an advantage.
- Good communication skills in Tetum and English are required
- Ability to work within clearly defined routines and plans; repetitive manual duties, with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrate flexible approach and ability to work under pressure and to organize and manage workload to meet deadlines.
