The French Cooperation office in Dili – Embassy of France – Institut Français is looking for a national staff member as Office assistant.
1. Responsibilities/Mission
- Arrange the schedule, make appointments, arrange meetings, field visits and functions;
- Manage and distributes incoming and outgoing correspondence, including official letters, documents and e-mails;
- Maintain close contacts with civil society partner organisations, related government institutions and other relevant institutions;
- Provide translation and interpretation assistance;
- Collect and analyse diverse information;
- Create content, including for social medias, especially @FrançaTimorLeste facebook page;
- Contribute to organizing events, including cultural activities;
- Provide logistical and administrative support;
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Attaché.
2. Requirements
- Dedication to work, socially active, multicultural working environment ability, deadlines management;
- Wide and close connections with governments, parliamentarians, security institutions, civil society and other related institutions;
- Tetum native speaker; Excellent English skills – both written and oral; Portuguese would be appreciated;
- High quality educational background, such as major domestic or international university;
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience, preferably within relevant governments, international organizations or non-governmental organizations;
- Good typing and computer skills (Outlook/Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint);
- Good working knowledge of ITC technologies (email, telephone, internet and its software);
- Interest in French culture appreciated.
