  1. Resilience Program Officer

The Resilience Program Officer is responsible for supporting the Resilience Senior Program Manager to achieve the objectives of relevant projects under the Resilience Program Pillar. The Officer will support the development and delivery of Oxfam’s and partners’ influencing and program activities on resilience related to disaster risk reduction, climate change and livelihoods. The Officer will work closely with Oxfam’ staff and partners at national, municipal and regional levels. The Officer will be a key point of contact for partners working on resilience and will accompany partners with technical support and capacity building. The officer will be a champion for disability and gender inclusion within resilience work.

 

  1. Salary for Resilience Program Officer
  • Location : This position is based in in Dili with frequent travel to municipalities
  • Type of Contract  : Fixed-term national package
  • Salary : Basic gross salary for this scale would be category 4 with max salary is  $678.99 and total package $ 854.96 /month including 10% wage tax & pro rate 13-month bonus salary, Social Security 10% from Oxfam, medical expenses reimbursement according to Oxfam staff policy. Oxfam reserves the right to offer the salary as per the experience and skills of the applicant.

                                                

  1. Skills and Experience require for Resilience Program Officer.
  • Technical knowledge on resilience in Timor-Leste in the context of disaster risk reduction, climate change adaption and livelihoods.
  • Technical knowledge on using air table tool to collect data 
  • Knowledge of program planning including gender awareness and disability inclusion.
  • Experience networking with and supporting civil society in Timor-Leste.
  • Experience in working in teams and in the effective delivery of project activities.
  • Coordination and administrative skills.
  • Proven influencing work and ability to negotiate and agree policy positions amongst different stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills including facilitation skills.
  • Demonstrable understanding of gender and diversity issues and proven commitment to and evidence of promoting gender and diversity equity.
  • Relevant qualifications or skills in a resilience related discipline.
  • Fluent Tetum. Good written, reading and spoken English desirable.
