Safety Online Project Officer for Positive Education, Nutrition and Education Project

To support of its current growth, Plan International Timor-Leste is seeking for a creative and ambitious Safety Online Project Officer. Dimensions of the Role

  1. The PPN Online Safety Project Officer will work closely with the Positive parenting and Nutrition (PPN) Manager to provide technical things on developing a cooking demo activity with the President of Timor-Leste and other leaders including some parents.
  2. She/he will coordinate with the staff of the cabinet of the president Regarding cooking demos to show.
  3. She/he will communicate regularly with PPN project Manager to ensure the implementation of the cooking demo activity based on the plan.
  4. The position requires close work accountabilities with PPN project Coordinator and program team.

Accountabilities

  • Coordinate with stakeholders and government especially technical staffs for cooking demo show with relevant leaders.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders and government findings into implementation activities, and to oversee activity roll-out, implementing and sustaining knowledge and demand for training, awareness raising, and mobilizing those who will collaborate in the implementation of project activities.
  • Support enhances the delivery of cooking demo show in all supported communities, parents’ schools, and relevant stakeholders in line with project plans.
  • organization developed a work plan based on the approved project work plan detailing with activities to be undertaken.
  • Assist and support co-facilitators provided a monthly parenting session with additional cooking demo show topics also included monthly.
  • Actively participate in develop implementation and supervision of quarterly and annual project implementation plan on cooking demo activity and PPN project.
  • Prepare a list of training needs, objective and subjects to be addressed through training activities and a validate these with training organizer, selected partner organization and prospective participants.
  • High skills on dealing with children

  • Ensures that Plan International’s global policies for Child Protection (CPP) and Gender Equality and Inclusion (GEI) are fully embedded in accordance with the principles and requirements of the policy including relevant Implementation Standards and Guidelines as applicable to their area of responsibility. This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring staff and associates are aware of and understand their responsibilities under these policies and Plan International’s Code of Conduct (CoC), their relevance to their area of work, and that concerns are reported and managed in accordance with the appropriate procedures.

Desirable

  • At least tertiary education or relevant needs, preferably in the field of education, psychology, social sciences, and/or community development
  • Experience in participatory and a community development approaches
  • At least 3 years’ experience in work with youth/community development programs and teams
  • Experience working with local organizations and leading development of their capacity
  • Experience in participatory and a community development approaches
  • Understanding of Timor-Leste’s current development issues, trends, challenges and opportunities and implications to community development in Timor-Leste
  • Experience in working with child-focused development organization would be an advantage  

Physical Environment

  1. Based in Country Office in Dili, typical office environment
  2. Frequent travel (50%) to and stays in Aileu and Ainaro, and occasionally to other municipalities. Must be willing to travel to remote communities.

  1. High level: Frequent interaction with children

Suggestion Plan cannot forget we need to give playful game activities for the students, because now the population of east timor consumes a lot of food that mixes with chemical product, so the number of cases of cholesterol increases when students are advanced age we need to give physical exercise many after food thank you greetings good job, servisu diak Joven forte nasaun forte
