PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
As the Partnership and Localisation Coordinator you ensure that ChildFund is able to deliver better outcomes in partnership with civil society and local government through strengthening partnership management practices. You are responsible for 1) coordinating the strategic, capacity strengthening/sharing and compliance aspects of partnership and localisation and (2) support the focal point to ensure Gender Equality, Disability and Social inclusion (GEDSI).is reflected in our partnership and localisation practices and capacity strengthening effort.
KEY DUTIES
- Coordinate the partnership process with ChildFund Timor-Leste partners in line with the Partnerships engagement policy and Partnership toolkit in coordination with project leads and relevant departments.
- Support project lead in strengthening the project partnership outcomes and promote a values-driven approach to partnerships.
- Support the managment team in the implementation of the Localisation Action Plan including the scoping of new strategic partnership opportunities that contribute to the realisation of ChildFund’s commitments to Locally led development.
- Oversee and support efforts to strengthen the organisational capacity of program partners to develop their organisation and its people and to meet best practice standards and donor requirements.
- Organise and facilitate the meetings and workshops with partners to encourage reflection, learning, and capacity sharing.
- Collaborate with the Partnership Advisor, Sydney Office to ensure accurate records and databases are maintained for partnership management, learning and compliance purposes.
- Collaborate with the focal point for Gender Equality, Disability and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) and the GEDSI Advisor in the Sydney Office to ensure that GEDSI is reflected in our partnership and localisation practices and capacity strengthening effort.
- Collaborate with the Communication Coordinator to develop/implement communication and (social) media plans to promote the partnership’s objectives and achievements, localisation and GEDSI advocacy.
- Represent and promote ChildFund Timor Leste at relevant local and national working groups and forums.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field such as gender studies, social sciences, international development, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrable experience providing technical guidance in civil society engagement, partnership management and , gender Equality and disability and social inclusion (GEDSI).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Proven project coordination skills, including planning, coordination and monitoring.
- Proven ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights.
- Familiarity with MEL strategy, including develop any tools related to monitoring, evaluation and learning.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in using Ms. Office
- Experience with support organisation development including Strategy and financial management or Change management would be an added advantage.
