MDF currently operates in Fiji, Timor-Leste, Samoa, Vanuatu, Tonga and Sri Lanka. It is funded by the Australian Government and co-funded by the New Zealand Government in Samoa, Tonga and Vanuatu. It is implemented by Palladium, in partnership with Swisscontact.

Role
The purpose of this position is to support MDF’s efforts to promote economic development in Timor-Leste, particularly through supporting monitoring and evaluation activities in agriculture and tourism sectors.

Responsibilities
  1. Helping M&E team monitor progress and results of interventions, particularly through field visits.
  2. Helping M&E and implementation team in conducting scoping activities for new interventions through field visits and/or online data collection.
  3. Ensuring the data collected from the field is entered and cleaned for analyses.
  4. Other activities as directed by M&E Adviser, Country Director, or other representatives of Palladium.
Education, Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
  1. Experience with fieldwork, research and data collection.
  2. Work experience in agriculture or tourism is desirable.
  3. A bachelor’s degree in agriculture, economics, business, sociology, international development, research or related fields, or equivalent work experience.
  4. Excellent written and spoken Tetun language skills.
  5. Good excel skills are needed.
  6. Good written and spoken English language skills.
  7. Willingness to travel regularly and extensively within Timor-Leste.
