Introduction
Associação Maluk Timor is a non-governmental organization (NGO) committed to capacity building and health system strengthening in Timor-Leste, through the mentoring and professional development of Timorese health personnel.

The Management Team is responsible for all core management functions of Maluk Timor. It upholds and communicates the Vision, Mission and Values of the organization, and executes the Strategy by enabling Programs' performance.

Position Summary

The Programs Director provides operational oversight of the majority of AMT’s programs, to implement AMT’s strategy.

Key Functions

The Programs Director’s primary functions are

  1. Responsible for line management of 4-8 Programs. To ensure on-time and on-budget implementation and reporting.
  2. Responsible for staff development of Program Managers and Team Leaders.
  3. Responsible for external representation, on program operations matters, by delegation from the Executive Director

Selection Criteria: Qualifications and Experience
Essential:

  • Qualification or relevant experience in health management, public health, project management, and similar fields.
  • Minimum 10 years relevant work experience
  • Strong organization and management skills
  • Strong people management skilss

Desirable:

  • Demonstrated competency in health programs management
  • Competency in MS Office, Google Workspace applications (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides etc.)
  • Experience in healthcare sector and NGO sector
  • Fluency in Tetum, Bahasa Indonesia and English
