Marie Stopes Timor-Leste (MSTL), a member of the Marie Stopes International (MSI) global partnership is non-profit, non-government organization (NGO) specializing in supporting and delivering high quality family planning and sexual and reproductive health services (SRH). We have been working in Timor-Leste since 2007 to support the Ministry of Health (MoH) implement national reproductive health strategies and achieve national maternal health goals. Our guiding principles are to support the MoH to deliver a broad range of high-quality family planning and SRH services ensure excellence in clinical quality; and support the delivery of services that are client-focused and promote choice.

 

MSTL seeks a Timorese National for the position of Clinic Coordinator to be based in Dili

 

Clinic Coordinator is responsible for overall management of the Marie Stopes Timor-Leste clinic in Dili. This includes oversight and provision of clinical services, clinical quality, stock management, financial management, manage clinic service pricing with the Outreach Centre Channel Manager to drive the clinic to sustainability by 2023, work with Outreach and Centre Chanel Manager and Marketing teams to assess, develop and conduct business presentation on clinic services to the existing and potential corporate partners  as well as capacity building of MSTL and partner personnel based at or rotating through the clinic. Additionally, the position is responsible for developing and maintaining positive relationships with local authorities and the Ministry of Health, and other stakeholders. The Clinic Coordinator is also responsible for providing clinical counselling and services to MSTL clients.

 

Key Requirements of the Position:

 

Qualification
  • Bachelor of Medical Doctor
  • Current clinical qualifications as doctor, with active MoH professional card for delivery of services.   
  • Certificate of competency in long-acting methods of family planning from MoH (desirable).
  • Valid professional card with the MoH
 
Experience
  • Minimum 3 – 5 years management experience including supervisory positions  
  • Experience in monitoring and evaluation, data management, review, and analysis
  • Experience in training development, delivery and need analysis
  • Experience in Clinical quality management and services
  • Experience preparing budgets and managing finances
  • Experience in managing staff
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Experience in developing and managing relationships with external stakeholders specially with the Ministry of Health
  • Experience working with MSTL (desirable)

 

Skills
  • Ability to provide modern contraceptive methods including Implant and IUD
  • Ability to discuss sensitive topics with clients in a confidential and caring manner
  • Ability to work without supervision   
  • Ability to prioritize and manage workload
  • Ability to use common computer programs (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to be flexible and support the needs of the team as required
