Marie Stopes Timor-Leste (MSTL), a member of the Marie Stopes International (MSI) global partnership is a non-profit, non-government organization (NGO) specializing in supporting and delivering high quality family planning and sexual and reproductive health services (SRH). We have been working in Timor-Leste since 2007 to support the Ministry of Health (MoH) implement national reproductive health strategies and achieve national maternal health goals. Our guiding principles are to support the MoH to deliver a broad range of high-quality family planning and SRH services, ensure excellence in clinical quality, and support the delivery of services that are client-focused and promote choice.

 

MSTL seeks for a Timorese National for the position of Regional Coordinator for Ermera to be based in Ermera with frequent travel within Ermera and  Dili.

 

As a member of the Program team the Regional Coordinator reports to the Outreach and Centre Channel Manager and is responsible for managing the regional team members to provide family planning and SRH services to MSTL clients. As a Regional Coordinator She/he has overall responsibility is representing MSTL at relevant municipalities, managing the team, leading on program activities and operations within the municipalities, maintaining and developing relationships with key stakeholders, monitoring and reporting project performance on timely manner and ensuring all clinical services follow the Marie Stopes International quality standards

 

Key Requirements of the Position:

 

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor degree or higher education in the area of Project Management, Public Health, Nurse, Midwifery and medical doctor
  • Current clinical qualifications as doctor (preferable)
  • Valid professional card with the MoH
  • Certificate of competency in long- acting methods of family planning from MoH desirable

 

Experience:


  • Minimum 2 years project management experience including supervisory positions  
  • Experience in monitoring and evaluation, data management, review and analysis
  • Experience in training development, delivery and need analysis
  • Experience preparing budgets and managing finances
  • Experience in clinical quality management and services
  • Experience in stock management
  • Experience in developing relationship with external stakeholder specially with the Ministy of Health
  • Experience in managing staff

 

Skills:

  • Good written and spoken communication skills in English and Tetun
  • Organizational skills to prioritize and manage workload, and manage events
  • Good interpersonal relationship and people management skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Excellent skills in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to be flexible and support the needs of the team as required
