Since 1992, The Asia Foundation has partnered with government, civil society and private sector partners to develop Timor-Leste and its people. We are working with local, district and national level government, civil society partners and communities to strengthen governance and policy, eliminate violence against women, enhance economic opportunities for women, and promote peace and justice in Timor-Leste.

opportunity to join a long-term partner to Timor-Leste’s ongoing
development. The Program Finance Officer (PFO) is responsible for
program finance and grants administration, including close collaboration
with the
Foundation’s partner organizations and program teams to
ensure compliant financial
Key responsibilities
- Manage grant administration in line with policies & procedures.
- Ensure timely receipt of narrative and financial reports.
- Review grantee financial reports and monthly financial statements.
- Conduct due diligence checks.
- Assist program staff in reviewing grant administration documents.
- Organize meetings with partners on relevant grant management issues.
- Assist with organizing financial management training for Foundation partners.
- Complete and process grant closing report at every end of all grants.
Selection Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Financial Management
- 3-4 years relevant experience in public accounting or finance, private sector or non-government organization.
- ·Verbal and written communication skills in English, Tetum, and Bahasa.

Ability to work independently, effectively,
and flexibly in a fast-changing work environment. - Strong computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel).
