To support of its current growth, Plan International Timor-Leste is seeking for a creative and ambitious Multifunction Mobile Library Community Facilitator. Accountabilities

  • Prepare and submit montly planning  and rarrative report to Early Learning and Stimulation (ELS) project manager . 
  • Assist with Plan Timor-Leste/s program and  providing a safe driving and transportation services to Mobile Library staff’s and the project activities
  • Keep the vehicle in good condition and undertake necesssary mantenance of the vehicle
  • Ensure vehicle clean and ready for operate
  • Maintain logbooks and cary out weely checks of logbook
  • Facilitate various meeting with target community
  • Coordinate with local leader to ensure the participation of children and parent in mobile library activity 
  • Directly responsible for all Early Learning Stimulation activity and Provides other support as necessary to the sponsorship activity
  • Ensures all activities are in line with Plan’s Gender transformative approach.
  • Mobilize participation of families and children on various Early Learning Stimulation -related activity
  • Conduct awareness-raising/advocacy and influencing activities to villages lider and communities on mobile library activity
  • Conducting regular Monitoring of the Early Learning Stimulation  related activity 
  • Participate in staff  meetings, staff capcity building and other important meeting
  • Monitoring and mentoring to Early Learning project implementation.
  • Ensures that Plan International’s global policies for Child Protection (CPP) and Gender Equality and Inclusion (GEI) are fully embedded in accordance with the principles and requirements of the policy including relevant Implementation Standards and Guidelines as applicable to their area of responsibility. This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring staff and associates are aware of and understand their responsibilities under these policies and Plan International’s Code of Conduct (CoC), their relevance to their area of work, and that concerns are reported and managed in accordance with the appropriate procedures.

 

Key relationships

  • Coordinate with local leader and parents  to ensure the participation of children and parent in the mobile library activity
  • Ensures respect for Plan’s Code of Conduct include various policys in Plan International
  • Directly responsible for all mobile library activity and provides other support as necessary to the sponsorship activity
  • Ensures all activities are in line with Plan’s gender transformative approach.
  • Mobilize participation of families and children on various mobile library-related activities
  • Conduct advocacy/ awareness-raising  activities on mobile library in the Village level
  • Monitor the implementation of the mobile library and ECCD activity 
  • Participate in staff  meetings, capacity development  and team building activities
  • Perform other functions as  may be required from time to time

  • Secondary education (tertiary education preferred with degree on social science or related discipline)

 

Physical Environment

  • Based in Area Office in Aileu, typical office environment
  • Frequent travel (50%) to and stays in Ainaro, Aileu and Dili, and occasionally to other municipalities. Must be willing to travel to remote communities on bad roads
  • In this section, state “typical office environment, or conditions such as “must work outside in an extremely hot and humid climate”.  Also, note if any protective gear is required (such as a lifting belt for unloading heavy boxes).
