About GX Foundation

GX Foundation is an International Chinese medical humanitarian aid charitable organization established in Hong Kong in 2018. It aims to provide international medical and public health humanitarian assistance in the Belt and Road countries, embodying the spirit of people-to-people connectivity. The Foundation has already signed MOUs with 5 countries, aiming to provide free vision- restoring surgeries for 37,500 patients in Laos, Cambodia, Djibouti, Senegal, and Mauritania from 2022 to 2027 and eliminate backlog cataract blindness cases. Apart from providing cataract surgery, the global nature of GX also includes other public health humanitarian assistance program, such as vector-borne disease control, health-emergency disaster risk management, international partnership, and community knowledge transfer.

Job Title: Assistant Field Project Officer (under consultancy agreement)

Type of Contract: Fixed Duration Contract

Contract Duration: 6 months (To be confirmed)

Work Location: Dili, and work travel to other cities in Timor Leste is required.

Job Nature: Project administration

Working hours: 8am – 5pm from Mon to Fri, flexible working hours and working on weekend will be required

Job Description & Responsibilities:

• Distribute public health preventive resources to local hospitals, clinics, healthcare centres, and other health service-related centres.
• Liaise with internal and external counterparts for implementation of vector borne disease control.
• Conduct training session to local counterparts how to utilize preventive resources.
• Monitor, maintain, and record the performance, effectiveness, and overall condition of items donated to sites across Timor Leste.
• Perform day-to-day and ad hoc tasks assigned by Field Project Officer & Director (Timor- Leste /Honduras &Supply).

Job Requirements:

• Diploma holder or above preferred
• 2 year of project management experience is preferred, experience in NGO is a plus
• Good command of spoken & written in Portuguese, Tetum, and English
• Detail-oriented, well organized, willing to learn and with strong sense of responsibility
• With good interpersonal and communication skills
• Willing to travel to different cities in Timor Leste
• Holding valid driving license
• Immediate availability preferred.
• Fresh graduate will also be considered

Remunerations:

• Monthly consultancy agreement  
• Coverage of Travel Expense (Accommodation, transportation, and meals) when working outside Dili is required.
