National Economic and Labour Market Policy Adviser (readvertised)
The Governance for Development (GfD) Transition Program is seeking a National Economic and Labour Market Policy Adviser to support the Directors General of SEFOPE and NES Executive Director to implement the National Employment Strategy (NES) through advisory leadership to the Centre for Labour Market Information, and the NES Secretariat.

GfD is an Australian Government program supported by Cardno Emerging Markets that assists GoTL to improve economic development and service delivery.

The National Economic and Labour Market Policy Adviser will report to the Director of the Centre for Labour Market Information in SEFOPE in relation to work planning and implementation, but will also work closely with the Executive Director of the NES Secretariat.

This is a locally engaged staff position. Applicants should have: bachelor’s degree in Economics from a reputable university (a Master degree in Economics or Public Policy would be well regarded), at least five years’ experience in economic analysis and the provision of evidence-based policy advice to government, demonstrated experience the design, conduct and analysis of and reporting on large scale data collection exercises, demonstrated experience in capacity building of government counterparts., demonstrated experience in and understanding of labour market information and the economics of the labour market, a high level of interpersonal skills and communication skills and a collaborative approach to work, excellent skills in research and data analysis, skills in report-writing and excellent written and spoken English and Tétun.
