Introduction


Associação Maluk Timor is a non-governmental organization (NGO) committed to capacity building and health system strengthening in Timor-Leste, through the mentoring and professional development of Timorese health personnel.
 
The IT Team is responsible for supporting all IT functions within Maluk Timor.

Position Summary


The IT Officer is part of the Maluk Timor Support Team and works out of the Maluk Timor office. The IT Officer is critical for maintaining and supporting the IT needs of the organization.

Key Functions

The IT Officer's primary functions are:
  • Installation, configuring, and updating computer hardware, software, operating system, Internet networks, printers and scanners.
  • Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary
  • Identifying and troubleshooting software issues
  • Set up new users' accounts and deal with password issues
  • Provide technical support across the organization (this may be in person or over the phone)
  • Manage Maluk Timor’s HRMS (Human Resource Management System)
  • Provide training in the use of software i.e. Microsoft Office applications and HRMS

Selection Criteria: Qualifications and Experience

Essential:
  • Diploma or Degree in Computer Science / Computing / Information Technology, or other relevant university-level qualification.
Desirable:
  • Experience in a similar role i.e. minimum of one (1) year post-graduate experience (demonstrated advanced computer skills)
  • Good working knowledge of verbal and written English
  • Ability to work collaboratively with programme teams
