Overview of Role
The Marketing Coordinator is tasked with supporting the development and implementation of a marketing and communications plan for Similie in local and regional markets. A team player with a prove track of initiative, the Marketing Coordinator will help strategize and implement marketing, branding, and advertising plans. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with a wide range of marketing functions, including communications, advertising, branding, digital marketing, and social media. The Marketing Coordinator will report to the Business Development Manager.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all marketing efforts serve to achieve immediate and long-term business goals, identifying and executing improvements for processes, content and lead generation.
- Work with external clients to implement aspects of the Similie’s Go-to-Market Strategy.
- Prepare marketing activity reports and metrics and report back to Business Development Manager.
- Further knowledge and education through workshops, research, seminars and mentoring, and share best practices, and local marketing ideas and tactics with the team.
- Conduct research to analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitive landscape and prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data.
- Support the Business Development Manager in evaluating and establishing the marketing plan and strategy by, setting objectives, planning and organising promotional presentations, posting on social media platforms, and updating calendars.
- Develop, manage, and communicate social media (Facebook and LinkedIn) campaign plans to the Senior Management, including objectives, timelines, and deliverables in the campaign strategy.
- Plan and manage meetings, events, conferences, and tradeshows by identifying, assembling, and coordinating requirements, establishing contacts, developing schedules and assignments, and coordinating mailing lists.
- Maintain a directory and inventory of sales support materials, ensuring all resources are current and accurate, and coordinate the creating of new materials as needed.
- Continually seek and research new sources of prospective customer data, and provide recommendations to sales and marketing leadership.
Required skills and experience
- Degree or higher in marketing, advertising, communications, or relevant qualifications or experience.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent writing, communication, and presentation ksills
- Advanced skills in MS Office, and social media platforms.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work with a new and growing company.
- English (essential), Tetun (essential) and Bahasa Indonesian and Portguese (an advantage, but not essential).
